In the face of Chinese increasing influence on innovation and technology,this seminar will discuss China’s innovative ecosystem from policy,regulatory and IP monetization perspectives as well as the start-up environment.
Dr. Jili Chung is an MIT Sloan Fellow and holds a J.D. (UCLA), a Ph.D. (Peking University) an MBA and BS (National Taiwan University), and an MS in Management of Technology from MIT, with qualifications of attorneyat law (California and China), patent agent (China), and Certification of Securities Professional (China).
Dr. Chung has worked in Washington D.C., Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, and Taipei for global corporations, including as an executive director at Goldman Sachs, international law firms (Clifford Chance and Simmons and Simmons), and as the VP General Counsel for a leading company in the supply chains to Apple. He is the author of several books, including Innovation Crouching Tiger (2018 EHG Books Press on Amazon).
Dr. Chung currently is founding SpringIP Inc. in China, with a revolutionary business model using AI and Big Data to solve transformation and upgrading challenges faced by millions of SMEs.
Carlo is a Senior Advisor at Nctm. His practice focused mainly on corporate and commercial law. He has an extensive experience in cross-border merger and acquisition, joint ventures and greenfield projects in relation to a variety of industries, including manufacturing, renewable energies, life sciences, logistics, construction and design.
Carlo has a solid and proved experience in advising and assisting, on an on going basis, primary Italian and Chinese groups operating in various sectors, including machine manufacturing, consumer goods, and automation. Carlo lives and works in China since 2001. He is a fluent Mandarin speaker.
