Introduction of Distinguished Guests
Steven S. Hoffman is a heavyweight startup godfather in Silicon Valley, an angel investor, a speaker and the founder of Founders Space - #1 accelerator for startups in Forbes Magazine. People call him “Captain Hoff.” He used to be a script writer in Hollywood and he established a mobile game company, an interactive media company and a software development company.
Since the founding of Founders Space, he has been dedicated to the connection and integration of global resource chain. Over the years, he has trained entrepreneurs for hundreds of startups around the world, one of which is the well-known photo sharing platform of Instagram. He works with these entrepreneurs in San Francisco, helping them understand basic methods and patterns for innovation as well as Silicon Valley’s concepts. He actually utilized these methods and concepts to launch revolutionary products and services. Startup training courses developed by his team are widely adopted by more than five dozens of global partners from Asia, Europe and America. He also makes speech in technology and business conventions in Silicon Valley and across the world and he is very active in global technology community as well as entrepreneur social groups. As a mentor for startups, he also appears frequently in U.S. and Europe mainstream media such as “New York Times,” TechCrunch, “Forbes,” and “Fast Company.”
Steven S. Hoffman’s book of “Making Elephants Fly” was published in February of 2017 and has been recognized as a “textbook for entrepreneurs.”
Adelyn Zhou is a strategist, marketer, author and entrepreneur in the field of emerging technology (artificial intelligence AI, bots, internet of things) and an experienced technology leader in AI and robots.
Being the marketing director of TOPBOTS, she assists businesses to utilize AI for marketing. Her clients include world renowned businesses in respective fields such as CNN and BBC in media industry, UNIQLO in retail business, RBS in financial sector, Disney in entertainment business, Ford in automotive industry, KLM in airline industry as well as UPS in logistics business.
Adelyn has more than a decade of experience in assisting multi-billion dollar international enterprises, such as Amazon on-line shopping platform, to grow and thrive. She is a technology leader in AI and bots and she has extensive experiences in these fields. She is recognized as one of the top 30 AI specialists, one of the top 10 bots experts and one of the top 50 experts in assisting businesses to grow. She is a leader in the largest bot community of 24,000 members and organizer of the NY AI and Bot Meetup. She is an invited speaker at conferences and institutions such as Harvard Business School and Columbia University. Currently, she is focused on connecting emerging technologies (AI and bots) for business applications.
Kyle Stirling is an Associate Director of Data Science Program in the Indiana University. This program provides automation, data science expertise and data-based business consultation and product management for businesses in a bid to assist businesses to explore new markets or infuse new vitality into old market.
Currently, Kyle is responsible for strategic partnership matters in Data Science Program. He is also an international expert in the fields of data science and automation for universities and businesses. This includes serving as a consultant to journals published by the Chinese Academy of Science. His professional expertise is in data science, robotics, strategy, data asset, network data model, marketing, business development, CNC machine software and hardware design, design and building of robots and custom automation system.
Michael Holdmann is the founder and CEO of CYTIOT. He is an experienced and successful leader, strategist, and promoter. He joined telecommunication/internet businesses since early 80’s. Michael’s experiences include: leadership, internet of things, M2M, event-driven structure, Web 3.0, cloud computing, security and international market development.
Michael’s first profitable exit was an interconnect telephone company while attending college in the early 80’s, partnered in an advertising agency in late 1980's to mid-1990’s and went back into tech building internet offering for wireless cable. In 1998 he founded one of the world’s first ASP’s (old term for Cloud), company was acquired for profitable exit.
Michael developed product and GTM for converged communications at US carrier, lead development/launch of GTM for US, APAC and LTAM for an eCommerce platform and introduced a secure remote desktop environment and backend system. His last position with an IoT platform company, had profitable exit via acquisition. Michael sits on standards bodies in IEEE/ISO/IEC, UPnP Forum SRII and IPC 2-17.
Dr. Ruicheng Li, joined SAP headquarter in Germany in 1994, is Senior Vice President, Managing Director of SAP Labs China, ExpertMember of Sino-German Intelligent Manufacturing Alliance Sponsored by MIIT, GuestProfessor of Fudan University and Tongji University. He is managing SAP LabsChina with 2800+ people in 6 Locations Shanghai, Beijing, Nanjing, Xi’an andChengdu.
Prior to this position,Dr. Li, as Global Vice President, has been responsible for Global SAP HCMProduct Development. He managed teams in 8 countries like China, Germany,Brazil, India, Russia, Czech, Hungary and Dubai. Dr. Li worked in severalcountries Germany, Singapore and China and has rich experiences in managinginternational teams with multi-cultural background. He graduatedas Bachelor at Technological University Beijing in 1983 andhas finished his master study in Technical University Berlin in 1988 under thescholarship of the German DAAD.
Dr.Li holds PhD in Physics from University Stuttgart/Germany. Prior to the PhDStudy, Dr. Li was working as scientist at Max-Planck Institute in Mainz/Germany.
Dr. Li has graduated EMBA at Chinese EuropeanInternational Business School in 2013.
Kitty Fok, as IDC China'smanaging director, she leads the IDC China Business Unit with a team ofover 50 specialized analysts and oversees all research processes for theGreater China region. Kitty’s expertise includes an in-depth understanding ofthe IT market with a focus on emerging markets,Chinagovernment agenda, as well asthe fundamentals of forecasting, business development, and strategicplanning/analysis.
Since joining IDCin 1996, Kitty’s involvement in Asia/Pacific PC market analysis and end-userresearch has contributed to numerous region-wide consulting efforts,specifically in the area of hardware computing trends in Asia/Pacific. Kittyworks closely with clients such as IBM, HP, Dell, Lenovo, Microsoft, Intel,AMD, Toshiba, Fujitsu, Samsung, Apple, Acer, Cisco, Oracle, SAP, Huawei, ChinaMobile, and Government, to deliver in-depth analysis and dependable clientadvice.
